The Acorn to Oaks Giving Fund was created for the purpose of giving you the opportunity to give to the camp in a program that is directly focused on our youth and adult activities.  This enables us to invest in the necessary items needed to make their time at camp exciting and fun-filled in a variety of ways.

• Camperships - We have a number of families that ask for assistance in sending their children to summer camp and we try to provide as many partial camperships to children as able each year.  As an individual or organization you can decide to sponsor a child directly or provide for a certain number of children to be able to attend camp.  Summer camp costs $215 and we give away $100 and $50 camperships as funds are made available.

• Special Speakers - Each summer we arrange for exciting speakers to talk to each age group that is here at camp and having monies available to pay them helps us in obtaining better known speakers for our programs.  We also bring in interesting speakers for our adult and youth retreats throughout the year and this fund supports our attempts at having well-known guests speak at our events.

• Living Oaks Scholarship Fund - This area of the fund is designed to encourage high school and college age youth to work here at camp as summer staff and counselors.  Most high school and college age youth spend their summers working at jobs to earn money towards college or additional support and the needed money takes priority over a Christian camp that does not pay for volunteer staff.  What we want to do is be able to attract Christian youth with the idea that if they work here for the summer, the camp will award scholarship money towards the purchase of school items or college tuition as a way to take care of their need to find a paying summer job.

• Program Equipment - As the camp expands our summer and winter programs, there is a need to replace, upgrade, or purchase equipment that will keep our programs exciting and challenging to the youth and adults that attend the camp.  We are looking at needing money for 10 climbing/zip line harnesses & safety helmets, confidence course equipment & safety gear, and outdoor gear for our field sports and team activities.

Giving to this Acorn to Oaks fund is as easy as sending a check to camp in any amount that God has laid on your heart to give and please include a note as to what you would like to see your donation go towards.  As a way of expressing our appreciation for your donation, you will receive a framed certificate for hanging on your wall.
